The tiger is a beautiful but dangerous animal. At the end of this article you can download it as coloring page. But before anything else worth knowing:
- The tiger is distributed exclusively in Asia and is a big cat.
- There are several subspecies, which are differentiated in mainland and island subspecies.
- The largest size differences exist between the small Sumatratigern and the large Siberian Tiger.
- The male Sumatratiger has a head-trunk length of 140 cm and a weight of 120 kg.
- The male Siberian Tiger is 280 cm long and weighs about 250 kg!
- After the ice and brown bears, the tiger is the largest land-dwelling predator.
- Tigers are loners and have a territory.
- They inhabit rainforests, grasslands, wetlands or boreal forests.
- There are only 3,000 to 5,000 wild animals left.
